Four skulls printed on 22 x 30’’ cream paper
Relief printing: printing method where a printing block has had ink applied to its surface, but not to any recessed areas, is brought into contact with paper.
These skulls were created by carving out of a soft kut printing block. The skull was first drawn onto the block and carved out of block. All skulls were printed with black oil ink by hand. Printmaking by hand is a difficult and rewarding process.
